Ms. Kari Heyman (8th Grade Language Arts)

Hello! My name is Kari Heyman and I am from Norwalk, Ohio. I graduated from Bowling Green State University (Ohio) with a B.S. in Middle Childhood Education and a specialization in Reading/Language Arts and Social Studies. My love of traveling and experiencing new things led me here to Parker. Hot, dry weather mixed with about hundreds of hormonal teenagers...what can I say, I love it here at Wallace Junior High!

Mr. John Woehrle (8^th Grade Reading)

My name is John Woehrle and this is my first year teaching. I enjoy everything outdoor sports related so Parker is a great spot for me to start my teaching career. I am originally from Boston, Massachusetts but went to Fountain Hills High School here in Arizona. Tucson has been my home for the past 8 years while I was going to school. I look forward to an exciting and challenging school year!

Mr. Tim Stryker (8th Grade Math)

I was born in Ohio and lived there for over 50 years. My wife and I moved to Parker six years ago and left behind our son, daughter, their families, and 6 grandchildren. I enjoy teaching math at WJH. My hobbies include computers, fishing, and target shooting. I return to Ohio often to visit with family.

Ms. Michelle Butteri (8th Grade Science) (7th Grade Science)

I am from Bridgeville, Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh; home of the Steelers. I enjoy teaching science and anything science related and I love to travel. I have taught high school Biology for 9th and 10th grade. I graduated with my bachelors in education from California University of Pennsylvania and plan on getting my masters degree in the near future.

Mrs. Michelle McCabe (8th Grade Technology) (7th Grade Technology)

I was born and raised here in the great town of Parker, AZ. After graduating from Parker high School, I attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff where I received BS in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics. I began teaching at Wallace Junior High in 2006. I am married with two children, Hannah and Kailey.

Mr. Derek Ault (8th Grade Social Studies) (7th Grade Social Studies)

I grew up in Gnadenhutten, Ohio – a small town in eastern Ohio. When I graduated high school I attended The Ohio State University where I earned my Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education degrees. I decided to move west so I could experience something completely different and that’s how I found Parker. I am looking forward to the new challenges that will be presented to me here in this school district.

Mr. Robert Firlein (8th Grade Health/Physical Education) (7th Grade Health/Physical Education)

I was born in Camden, NJ. I joined the United States Marine Corps in April, 1974. I was stationed all over the United States, Iakuni, Japan, Okinawa, and Korea. I retired after 20 years, 3 months, and 6 days of service. I'm married to Elizabeth, I have four daughters, three are in education and the other works in Florida. I'm in my 16th year of teaching at Wallace Junior High and coaching two sports, basketball and varsity golf. I am also blessed with 5 beautiful grand children.

Mrs. Sally Kelley (Junior High Resource Teacher)

I grew up in Berea, Ohio and then relocated to Reno, Nevada. Recently my husband and I moved to Arizona. I have taught physical education, English and special education for over thirty years. My husband Chuck is a teacher too. We love and enjoy our five children and ten grandchildren. We ride quads in the desert and go camping in our motor home with our Australian Shepherd, Lainie.

Mrs. Pam Stryker (Junior High Choir)

This is my 25th year to teach vocal music. I really enjoy my students and it's fun to go to school each day. My husband, Tim, and I have 2 children and 6 grandchildren. We enjoy traveling the United States, and we moved to Arizona 7 years ago from Northern Ohio. I don't miss the snow and love the Arizona winters. I graduated from Prescott College, and I also studied classical piano at Ohio University. I played keyboards in a big band for many years, and now enjoy playing gospel music.

Mr. John Woody (Junior High Instrumental Music Instructor)

I was born in Lima, Ohio, Sept. 20, 1942. Raised in Dayton, Ohio next to Wright Patterson Air Force Base. I graduated from W.E. Stebbins High School in 1960. I graduated from Morehead State College (University now) in 1964. I married Elaine Morgan, August 23, 1968 in Marion, North Carolina. My children include two daughters Melanie Witt, and Sara Woody, & three granddaughters. My hobbies are golf, woodworking, four wheeling, and music. Not necessarily in that order. I have a part-time business: Woody's Piano Tuning & Repair.

Mrs. Lynda Trowbridge (Junior High Resource Aide)

I am 58 years young, and married. I have two dogs and three cats. We have lived in the area for 8 years, we moved here from Washington State. I'm attending AWC to finish my AA Degree. I'm working on my fourth year at WJH. I love this town and enjoy the students here very much. I refuse to grow up or grow old!
