From the Principal's Desk
Welcome to Wallace Junior High!
Wallace Junior High School is a small, rural school with approximately 230 seventh and eighth grade students. Our class sizes are relatively small, with average class sizes in the high 20’s. We follow a six period schedule with five required classes. Our sixth period is our study hall period. We also utilize the study hall period for both band and chorus, which allows our students to participate in the fine arts without missing valuable class time. On early-release Fridays, we offer enrichment classes during this final period. Since we do not offer elective courses, the enrichment classes allow the students to participate in “weekly electives”. These classes include, but are not limited to: outdoor sports, yearbook, newspaper, arts and crafts, geography and current events, beginning drawing, gardening, dance, newspaper, math puzzles, historical Hollywood and fitness walking. We also set aside two classrooms for those students who desire a Friday study hall.
