I was born and raised in rural North Dakota. After graduating from Carrington High School in 1977, I moved to Moorhead Minnesota and attended University of Minnesota, Moorhead formerly known as Moorhead State University.

In 1983, after earning my Bachelor's degree in English/Speech/Theatre Education, I moved to Parker, Arizona to teach Junior High English.

Since then I've enjoyed working in a variety of positions including teacher of high school English and communications, junior high computer skills, elementary and high school librarian, and instructional specialist.

Recently I earned a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Northern Arizona University. In addition, I was selected by my peers and faculty as the 2007 NAU Educational Student of the Year. I currently enjoy working with teachers and students helping them access information through technology.
