Library students are
indispensable to the smooth operation of our high
school library. There are a number of duties that
need to be performed on a regular basis in order to
keep the library functioning efficiently.
·
As soon as a library student reports to class, (s)he
needs to perform the following daily duties in this
order.
·
You will lose points from your daily
grade if you do NOT take care of these important
tasks in this order.
-
Greet Mrs. Leivas and your fellow student(s).
Spend 5-10 minutes (as needed) in computer lab,
circulation desk area and library
a. Check to see what classes are
scheduled. Record names (or check to see if
recorded) on blue and gold lab posters
b. Throw away/put away items that don't
belong in lab.
b. Push in chairs. The lab/library should
look neat, clean and ready to publish in a
library magazine.

a mouse, pad, chair.
d. Collect any headphones, books or any
other items that are laying around the
lab/library and put in proper locations.

papers around printer area.

If the library is QUIET and you can concentrate,
read for 20 minutes.

books UNLESS directed otherwise by Mrs. Leivas
PLEASE!!!
-

shelf project area
for approximately 10-20 minutes

Student, how may I help you?"

-
Check the
student work area and clipboard to
see if there are any tasks that need to be
completed.
Ask Mrs. Leivas what you can do.
- Be prepared to help students, teachers, or Mrs.
Leivas. These
requests always
supersede
any other work.
-
You are dismissed from class by Mrs. Leivas, NOT
the bell. Always remember to say goodbye to
your teacher(s).
